The Best Beer Gardens in Ireland

I’m gazing out the window wondering when oh when we can all return to enjoying a few beers and ciders outdoors on a Stag. So, in preparation for the return of those lazy, warm, sunny pinting days. Here are what I think are some of  The Best Beer Gardens in Ireland for your stag party weekend!

Now as always with these lists. A debate will ensue. So, should you think any should be added. Make sure and drop us a line.

The Bernard Shaw, Dublin

Dublin is always a popular location for a stag party weekend. It’s no surprise really with the sheer amount of bars in the city catering for everyone’s tastes. However, if you’re looking for a fantastic outdoor space to enjoy a few beers with some old school and quirky memorabila. Then this is your spot. It even has a double decker bus parked in it. It really is a great place for a pint, enjoy some good company and good weather on a Stag!

The Barge, Dublin

We’ve all probably had a pint on a sunny day sitting outside the Barge. So, it comes as no shock that this Dublin bar would make the list. A hugely popular watering hole on a sunny day but the atmosphere when it’s busy and the sun is out makes it a great spot for a pint with the lads.

Tigh Ned, Inis Oirr

Should you be venturing to the Aran Islands for your Stag Party weekend. Then make sure you pop into Tigh Ned on Inis Oirr (Inisheer). It is off the beaten track for sure and simply has some of the most stunning views to enjoy a pint with friends.

Billy Byrne’s, Kilkenny

This is a fantastic beer garden space off John Street in Kilkenny. One hell of a spot to chill with a pint in the sun.

Sean’s Bar, Athlone

As Ireland’s oldest bar, that should be enough of a reason to pop in for a pint on an Athlone Stag Party. Even with that, Sean’s Bar boasts one hell of a beer garden that’s also a great sun trap. The time will fly and the pints will flow as you chill out before a big stag party night!

Curragower, Limerick

Limerick is always a brilliant call for a stag weekend. It has so much to offer and it’s fantastic pub scene includes the stunning Curragower beer garden overlooking the river Shannon. It has a brilliant view of King John’s castle, top food and tasty pints. Well worth checking out.

PJ O’Hares, Carlingford

Smack bang in the middle of Carlingford you’ll find this hugely popular pub. A fine place to grab a beer on the Stag, a bite to eat, watch a match or just relax it’s impressive beer garden.

Gings Bar, Carrick On Shannon

There’s no need to tell you that Carrick On Shannon has a special place in our hearts. It’s a fantastic town for a stag weekend and has some truly great pubs. Gings Bar however has a wonderful outdoor drinking area to enjoy a few relaxing pints by the water and under the sun. A top spot as you gear up for a big stag night ahead or to recover from the night before.

Dinn Ri, Carlow

Should you find yourself in Carlow on a Stag and in need of a quality beer garden. Pop into Dinn Ri and enjoy a tasty pint in a cosy beer garden.

O’Connells, Galway

Galway is an incredible city to visit and to enjoy a night on the town in. So, it will come as no great surprise that it is home to terrific bars and beer gardens. If you fancy enjoying a pint outside in the fresh air and hopefully warm weather. Then pop over to O’Connells. They’ve a brilliant set up and it’s always a lively spot a the weekend.

Deep South, Cork

Another fine big beer garden can be found in Deep South in Cork City. It is a relaxing spot that catches all the sun during the day. And a lively spot at night with an outdoor bar and live dj pumping out the tunes.

The Courtyard on Sober Lane, Cork

Another beer garden worth mentioning in Cork is the Courtyard in Sober Lane. It has a massive amount of space and is a top spot to catch a big game in too.
