Kinsale Mead Co. Tours

Spend an hour on an entertaining, fun and interesting tour all about Kinsale Mead.

You’ll be welcomed with a glass of prosecco which will be topped up with a delicious Wild Red Mead that’s made from Spanish Forest Honey, Turkish Cherry & Wexford Blackcurrant Mead.

Then it’s onto a brief insight of Mead’s long and fascinating history. There will be plenty of talk about bees and then it’s a walk through the production area.

You’ll see all of the honey used, taste some of course and see where there Meads are fermented, matured and finally bottled.

You’ll get to taste 4 fantastic mead in their tasting room. Included are Meads that are only on offer in the meadery. They’ll also help with understanding each Mead’s flavour profiles and how best to serve and pair with different foods.

For example, enjoy a Mead paired with Koko’s of Kinsale hand-made Mead filled Dark chocolate. And, also taste how the Mead brings out the fruitiness of the Cocoa Beans.

When the tour ends, you have the option to stay for a while as they serve some Mead drinks, Mead & Tonic, Prosecco etc (at an extra charge).
