5 Ways To Kill It At Karting

5 Ways To Kill It At Karting So lads you've decided on Karting as your stag party activity. The whatsapp messages and you've already been slating each other over your driving abilities. You've screaming from the rooftop that you'll be taking the spoils when you hit the karting track. So if your competitive side is in over drive and you want to ensure you are victorious on the stag party weekend here are 5 Ways To Kill It At Karting! 1. All About The Posture This may bring up bad memories from your time in school but 'Sit Up Straight' when you get into you Kart. By having a better posture means you'll have better turning control. Also sitting up straight with your arms slightly bent will enable you to apply pressure when turning the steering wheel. This will all help you from spinning out. This isn't Mario kart, if you spin you will more than certainly lose. 2. Know The Course No need to go full on cool runnings and memorising each turn in the tub but do know the course you're about to drive. So when you get to the karting centre have a look at the track. Find the best line through each corner and turn. Also have a look at where you will need to brake or simply take your foot off the accelerator before powering on. 3. Not All About Speed A lot of tracks will decide on winners by their fastest lap times. Depends on the size of the stag party group. So if this is the case be smart about where you position yourself. It might be the wise call to hang back and leave a bit of space between you and the driver in front. This way you'll have more open track and no one to slow you down in corners. Or, you might decide to battle it out with another fast driver. If that's the case slip in behind him and use the clean air. The strike when the time is right. 4. Learn How To Turn This may sound very straight forward but knowing when to brake or to just let a bit off the accelerator will help massively in the turns. Hug the inside line. Break or ease off before the corner. Then accelerate fully as you exit. Allow the kart to drift to the outside line. This will shave seconds off your lap times and get one you step closer to a podium finish. 5. Overtake Like A Pro If you find yourself, and you will, behind someone here's how to pass them like a pro. You'll need to generate more speed into the next turn than he does. Minimal braking here as possible lads, then accelerate past him at the apex. Keep the foot down as you exit the turn before cutting his line off completely. You're in the clear on the way to victory. So there you have it lads, 5 Ways To Kill It At Karting! The only left for you to do is ensure your winners speech is spot on. Sure the speech has to be worthy of a great stag party activity and stag party weekend. If you're interested in Karting as your stag party activity contact us today. 5 Ways to Stay in the Paintball Game Longer

5 Ways to Stay in the Paintball Game Longer Paintballing is a fantastic game for a stag party activity. It's great craic and allows for team bonding. However, you must be in it to win it! So here are a few tips that will help you to lead your team to victory and become the paintballing champions of the world! 1. Make a Plan If you are serious about winning then a plan is a necessity. This will allow you to prepare for paintballs that are coming your way or a team member that may need your help. Having a plan in place will ensure that you know the right decision to make in a certain situation. This can be anything from different manoeuvres required to dodge a flurry of paintballs to controlling how much ammo you use so you don't run out too quickly. There's no point using all your paintballs on one guy as you will run out and find yourself in a sticky situation! 2. Be Aware.. Be Very Aware! Keep a close eye on the opposition at all times! This means knowing where they are and how much ammo they have... or lack of! Suss out the weaker opponents and attack! You must be fast and think quickly at all times. 3. Support Always look out for each other. If you see that another team member is in a spot of difficulty then come to their rescue. This is why making a plan can come in handy so that you can prepare for these types of situations which are more than likely to occur. 4. Aim The aim of the gun is very important. There is no point firing without first making sure that you have the target on point. This way you don't waste ammo unnecessarily. Remember: Aim before you fire! 5. Communicate This is key. Without communication you will more than likely lose the paintball game. Making hand gestures to other team members is a great way to communicate since you will not be able to speak as this will give your location away. A hand gesture could be useful to tell a team member to come over to you or to tell them to stop or go back. You can also point in a certain direction to show your team mates the location of someone that is on the opposing team. ...and remember there's no I in TEAM! Stick together to achieve a successful outcome. With these skills in place you will be way ahead of your opponents and be sure to win! If you are looking to book paintball for your stag party, contact us here at info@stagparty.ie

7 Types Of Lads You’ll Meet At Karting

7 Types Of Lads You'll Meet At Karting We've all been there! You go Karting for the craic with the lads for some stag fun but once everyone gets onto the track it's a whole different story! Here are a few of the characters you've more than likely bumped into! 1. The Sly Mover He's the quietly confident but friendly guy that nobody ever suspects. Little does everyone else know, he has a game plan! You're doing laps and think you have it in the bag, only to find that this guy swoops in out of nowhere and passes you out just like that - It's always the quiet ones! 2. The Macho Man He's a man on a mission. He comes in to destroy the rest of the lads at karting and does just that! He's the type that goes around saying things like 'there's no prize for 2nd place' or 'winners never quit and quitters never win' (yawn). He probably has his winners speech rolled up in his pocket ready to brag to the rest of the lads when he's standing on the podium in 1st place. Go karting is his way of showing that he is and forever will be better than all his friends. 3. The Motivator We all need some encouragement and motivation in life. This guy knows exactly what to say to you to make sure that you've got your head in the game before you enter the karting track. He only wants the best for you and is a great team player. He's all for the team building and camaraderie and that's exactly what a stag party needs! We salute you! 4. The Newbie This guy turns up to the karting track full of adrenaline and ready for a new challenge. He's listened to the motivator before entering the track and he is pumped for the challenge. He knows that to win it he needs silky smooth steering. He's no sooner on the karting track and he gets outlapped 25 times in the first 10 minutes of the game! God loves a trier right? 5. The Quitter He cannot stand the fact that everyone else is far better than him (even the newbie - yikes!). He excelled at paintballing and thought that he had karting in the bag. He carries on with the game for a while and tries to make out that it is not bothering him that he is being out lapped. He leaves the track feeling like a deflated balloon. I guess he'll have to wait until the next stag party to find out if he will be taking home the alpha male title! 6. The Poser This guy is all about his appearance and is only concerned with his reflection and how he looks in the karting gear. It doesn't come as much of a shock that he brought his own helmet just to be a little different and stand out from the rest of the lads. Pity his go karting skills are lacking. You just know that he's the type that will bring a selfie stick! 7. The Expert He may be your best mate outside of the track but once the gear goes on, the helmet is in place and he is sitting in his kart he becomes your worst enemy! He has done his homework and knows all the tips and tricks to get the fastest time. Defeat does not come in to his vocabulary. He is aggressive and ruthless when it comes to passing out the slower karters. He's not afraid to use his bumper and will do what it takes to make sure that he passes you out. He's also been known to hop out of the seat on the tighter turns to increase the engine speed! This guy knows his stuff! It might seem a little drastic but when every second counts you gotta do what you gotta do! If you are looking to book karting as one of your stag party activity then email info@stagparty.ie

A scale of the most painful places to get hit by a paintball

A scale of the most painful places to get hit by a paintball Paintballing is great craic and an activity that we all enjoy on stag parties but it's important to note that getting hit with a paintball isn't always the most pleasant experience. We asked some of our paintball goers if it hurt and mainly the answer was 'no, just a bit of a sting'... but just like a tattoo or a piercing, there are some places that hurt a little more than others. We have narrowed down the top 5 most painful areas to get hit with a paintball so that you can be extra prepared when it comes to dodging the paintballs. 5. The Neck Number 5 on our list is the neck. This is a sensitive area of the body. It is also quite near the face which can make it really obvious for someone to see a bruise, which also has the added disadvantage of looking like a hickey! Tip: Try to find a mask that has full head and neck protection to avoid bruising if you get hit in this area. 4. The Inside of your Leg Getting hit on the inner thigh is usually a result of kneeling down on one knee with the other foot still on the ground. This is one of the more sensitive parts of the leg. Tip: Try to avoid kneeling, or if you are going to kneel then make sure to kneel on both legs so that way if you get hit it will be on the outer part of the leg which isn't as sensitive. 3. The Back of the Head This isn't one of the worst places to get hit but it can leave players feeling a little disorientated afterwards for a few seconds. Safety goggles and a mask are provided so there is no need to worry about getting your eyes or nose hit as well. Tip: Use the helmets provided to protect the back of your head.  A lot of people tend to disregard this step but trust me you will thank us later! 2. The Groin Number 2 on our list is.. ahem.. the groin (see how polite we are!). Not the best place for the lads, especially if you have friends that like to be mischievous with their paintball gun aim! Tip: Be a better paintball dodger and you won't get hit... I'm just kidding! Invest in a cup and you can't go wrong! 1. The Hand Number 1 on our list is... the hand! From everyone that we have asked the hand topped the pole in the most painful places to get hit. Probably due to the fact that you constantly have your hands and fingers exposed because they need to be placed around the gun. Tip: Wear gloves for protection. You can buy specialised paintballing gloves or you can bring a pair of your own. This will ensure that you have as much shielding from the balls as you need. Bonus Tip: Wear boots that have a good grip on the heel. This will come in handy when you are dodging opponents! and whatever you do don't be like this guy! And there you have it! The top 5 worst places to get hit with a flurry of paintballs. At least now you are aware of these ares and have a few tips to bring along with you as well. Whether you choose to share them or not with your fellow stag mates is entirely up to you! If you are looking to book paintballing for your stag then contact us here at info@stagparty.ie

Beat The January Blues By Going On A Stag Party

Beat The January Blues By Going On A Stag Party We're all back to work at this stage. The Fear of the first day was palletable for some and many are still feeling it after a hectic 2 weeks off drinking and eating everything in sight. They quickly slipped out of the routine of going to work and how to actually work too. And more than likely we are all watching our money until we get paid at the end of the month. So no wonder some of us suffer from the January blues. But we have your best interests in mind lads, Beat The January Blues By Going On A Stag Party! I read recently tips on beating the January Blues. These so call experts talked about getting active, eating well, being sociable etc. Not one of them mention a Stag Party! A stag weekend ticks all the boxes. Get Active A lot of people decide in January decide to join up to a new gym, get active and lose a few pounds that you acquired over the holidays. There are tons of ads and offers to help unlock that new super active you. But here at Stagparty.ie we've been offering brilliant activities for years. You can get active on a stag with a game of 5 a side, enjoy a invigorating cycle while Mountain Biking or even hit the water for some Canoeing, Surfing or Stand Up Paddle Boarding. Let's be honest these are a great way to get active and would also make a great Stag Party Triathlon! Take A Trip Another one of the tips was take a trip. Something to look forward to after the memory of Christmas and New Years has faded. This is our bread and butter lads. We organise trips away all over Ireland, the UK and Europe. Experience a new town or city and even explore new cultural delights. And of course you'll be looking forward to the trip. You'll be heading away for a stag party weekend with the lads, enjoy pints, activities and some good laughs! Eat Good Food Health experts talk about the importance of eating good food in January to boost your mood. Now you tell me how you wouldn't be in a great mood after taking on, or even watching, the Stag Vs Food challenge. A mountain load of food to line your stomach, fuel you for the night and to help you forget about those new years resolutions you made a few days earlier. Be More Sociable  Locking yourself away for the month will do nothing to help your January Blues. There is only so much Netflix you can physically watch. So make sure and be more sociable. The best way to do this? By going on out partying of course and more specifically on a stag party. You can't deny you aren't more sociable when you're out having pints with the lads and introducing yourself to anyone and everyone in the bar. Enjoy A Good Nights Sleep A key to anyone's well being is enjoying a good nights sleep. Everyone is in a happier mood when they are well rested. Stag Parties can always deliver a good nights rest. How you may ask? Well consume enough beer so that when you finally turn in for the night, you'll be dead to the world and sleep like a log! Save Money January for most us means watching our money after an expensive time of the year. But we at Stagparty.ie pride ourselves in saving you money on your stag party weekend. Our packages start from €69 and will won't break the bank as you enjoy a trip away and a great stag party activity. Enjoy A Day Out You really can't be a day out with the lads. If you're all sorted for accommodation or plan on staying local for your stag weekend we can just organise the Activity for you. So enjoy a day out and take another step to beating your January blues. Take Up A New Hobby One thing many people do in the New Year is to try and learn a new skill, take up playing an instrument or a new hobby. So why not try one of our new Stag Party Activities in 2017. Who knows after some American Football, Baseball, Windsurfing, or Zip Lining you'll be hooked and it could turn into a life long hobby. Positivity January blues only come about if you lack in positivity. I know it can be difficult being positive all the time and trying to get back into the swing of the work routine. So that's why you need to head on a stag party weekend asap. Everyone is always positive on a stag party. Take a minute and think about it. You say yes to nearly everything on the stag, with a smile on your face and probably a beer in hand too. There's no January blues on a stag party. Treat A Loved One One way of beating any sort of January blues is treating a loved one. It always feels good to do something nice for a loved one. You might only tell him between the hours of 2am and 3am but you do love your mate. He's recently got engaged so treat him to an epic stag party weekend and start planning it with us here in Stagparty.ie. We'll make sure it's an unforgettable weekend in a great location with a brilliant stag party activity. All that's left for you to do is say 'I Love You Man' at the appropriate time. So, there you have it lads. Don't spend the next month down in the dumps. Beat The January Blues By Going On A Stag Party! Cable Wakeboarding in Ballyhass Lakes

Cable Wakeboarding in Ballyhass Lakes It's Sunday morning and the sun is shining in Cork. Normally a welcomed sight but Paul from StagParty.ie is nursing a hangover that has him contemplating what is life, if he is part vampire as the sun glares in and if it's was that dodgy kebab last night or the scatter of pints that is the cause for his headache. He's suffering so bad, he's actually named his hangover. So it's a glorious Sunday morning. Paul and his hangover named Reginald set out on some essential stag party research. The pints from last night were all in the name of research I'm told as he made his way to Ballyhass Lakes for a bit of Cable Wakeboarding. Cable wakeboarding is fast becoming one of the top stag party activities in Ireland. So Paul had to go check out. Also, like many of us Paul was sceptical how Reginald the hangover would deal with fresh water but only time will tell. Ballyhass Lakes is home to the largest Cable Wakeboarding centre in Ireland. If you're wondering what cable wakeboarding is. Well it's a adrenaline pumping watersport that see's your feet strapped to a board while you hold onto a handle and are essentially pulled along the water via a high powered cable above the lake. It's great craic altogether. Getting Started! The session itself starts with you getting kitted out in a wetsuit, booties, jacket, life-jacket and helmet to ensure you're safe and warm on the water first at foremost. Paul and Reginald then made their way down to the lake and cable. Time for Paul to get strapped onto the board which is about 4 feet and then it's time to hop into the water and see how Reginald reacts to being dumped into fresh water. To Paul's delight Reginald decides he's having none of this I'm told and Paul is set for his first cable wakeboarding lesson hangover free. Good to know if you're planning on going cable wakeboarding after a big night out. It's time to Wakeboard! Paul grabs onto the handle firmly. The "driver" on the dock operates the cable which moves you along the water. He fires it up, Paul begins to move, begins to stand up and then face plants the water! If only we could have caught it on camera. He looked like a baby giraffe trying to walk the first time as he stood up on that board. Then whack! The instructor gave Paul a few tips and pointers and they seemed to do the trick. As in no time Paul was up and skimming along the water. Turning and cutting back in with ease as the session went on. One of the great advantages of Cable Wakeboarding is that it's a lot easier than going behind a boat. And, the 'driver' can control the speed the cable moves at. So if you're a complete novice or an expert Ballyhass Lakes will be able to cater for you. Paul didn't quiet have the nerve of the skills to tackle the ramps but maybe next time he said. When it was time to call it a day. It was back up to the changing area and a hot drink before the spin home. The adrenaline was still pumping through Paul's veins as began planning his next visit and next chance to improve his wakeboarding skills. I won't lie he hasn't shut up about it since he's gotten back. And he's recommending Cable wakeboarding to everyone and said that if he was organising his stag party in the morning he would be choosing cable wakeboarding as a stag party activity. Check out this short video of some Ireland's up and coming cable wakeboarders in action in Ballyhass Lakes.

Delivering A Winners Speech After Karting

Delivering a winners speech after karting If you find that you are victorious against your fellow stag goers after a few laps of the karting track then perhaps a winners speech would really finish it off nicely to show them who really is the boss. Here's a few things to keep in mind to make sure that your winners speech is the best one that you have ever given! - Don't wing it! Preparation is key. Of course if you write the speech and don't end up winning then nobody needs to know about that. Leave the paper in your pocket and carry on about your day as normal. -If you do win however, know exactly what you are going to say. Don't sound rehearsed but have a good idea of where you are going with it. -Knowing your audience isn't really a necessary step considering you're talking among your friends. (Although after your speech they may want to disown you). Keeping it light hearted and fun is the only way to go with this. -Always have clear defined goals. In this case you want to make sure that all of your friends know that you are much better at karting than they ever will be. Fact! -Open the speech by thanking everyone that made it possible for you to get the award. Basically you're being a pain by telling them how much better you are than them but in a sly way! I can guarantee you will absolutely be buying the drinks that night! -Tell them that it was a wonderful and enjoyable experience. ''Tony was sensational at gaining speed at the corners and everyone played professionally'' (immediately throws daggers at the guy who nearly killed him going around the bend). -You might have a few bitter faces looking at you when you're doing your speech so make sure that you crack a few jokes along the way. After all it is all in the name of fun! 'I'd like thank the Academy for allowing me to be here today'. -Enjoy every moment of it! There will no doubt be a lot of celebrating when someone else wins the paintball or one of the lads does better at clay pigeon shooting so make the most of the moment. You might as well savour the sweet taste of victory while you have the chance! -Throw in a bit of humour about how poor Tom got out-lapped 25 times in the first 10 minutes... just in case he didn't already get enough slagging! -As you wrap up the speech let them know of your great plans to destroy them in a paintballing warfare or how you're going to smash it at bubble soccer and demolish them at quad biking! If anything it will encourage them to do even better in the stag activities and make them a little more challenging! If you are looking to book karting as an activity then email info@stagparty.ie

Finger Food

Finger Food for your Stag Party Every stag party needs a bit of grub on their big day. Most groups are more interested in drinking than a big meal on the day of their stag party. Finger food is the perfect option for these groups. Finger food is basically what it says on the tin, goujons, mini burgers, cocktail sausages, this list is endless. This stag party idea can be combined with a stag party activity. If there is a big match on the day of your stag party why not combine it with finger food. This is guaranteed to keep all the lads satisfied while watching the match as well as getting you ready for the big night ahead.   Finger food is available anywhere you go and is a really affordable option. Finger food generally is given out at a bar rather than a restaurant, which may suit a stag party much more than a sit down meal. Finger food is perfect for any size group and the number of trays given out at the bar will depend on the number of lads there. Finger food doesn’t mean that the group will go hungry. Generally finger food portions are very large and keep lads happy and prepared for the wild night that faces them.   Most bars will combine finger food with a reserved seating area in a bar, meaning the whole group will stick together and are guaranteed a place in their choice of pub. If you are interested in having finger food as part of your stag party than be sure to contact the bar ahead of time, just to be sure they can cater for you and your group and also that it will be ready when you arrive.   Finger food is the perfect option for any stag party group and is sure to get you ready for the big night ahead!

Have You Tried Bubble Football Yet

Have You Tried Bubble Football Yet Looking for a fun Stag Party activity that everyone can be involved in? Something that is sure to get thousands of laughs? An activity that fuels your competitive side? An activity where violence and charging head first into your friends is actively encouraged? Well, have you tried Bubble Football yet? The first time I was asked to go for a game of bubble football, I really didn't know what to expect. My friends description over the phone really didn't do it justice. "Alright bai, eh fancy a bit of bubble football?...You basically get in a ball and play football...oh and wear comfy clothes". Getting started! Anyway off I went to play some Bubble Football and the first thing I said afterwards is sign me up for another go. You start the day with a safety briefing before climbing into a mini-Zorb looking ball. There's a harness inside and handles to hold on to. Trust me they help. Two teams were picked and with any game of football most goals wins. At first it's awkward to run but as soon as you nail that you'll be turning your attentions to flinging yourself into one of your mates. The collision and crash is all dependent on, did he see it coming or who has the more...emmm...ballast we'll say. You feel sorry for the small light fecker in your group, but that's a brief fleeting thought as you pick him out because you want to see if you can knock him into orbit. Don't worry, no one will get injured. You just bounce around for a couple of seconds before regaining your feet. No one really cares about scoring goals, it's more about the tackles. That's probably because anytime you go to kick the ball you're usually taken out of it before you can even swing your leg. I can't speak highly enough of this great stag party activity.
