So lads you’ve got a Stag Party coming up and it’s more than likely going to lead to a LOOONG night of drinking. What’s not to like, right? Wrong! The hangover the next morning will probably be one of the worst you’ll have ever had. Don’t worry, you’re not dying! Not literally anyway… But it’s not going to feel very good so how about we try to reduce the hangover? Or better yet, avoid it. That’s why we’ve come up with a Survival Kit that may or may not do the trick. Everybody is different and we’re not doctors, but the items in our Survival Kit work for some lads. Hopefully you’re one of the lucky ones. So let’s get right into it.
Paracetamol/Painkillers – Survival Kit
Lads, an absolute necessity! Painkillers are definitely the first option for us if we wake up feeling worse for wear. Down them the second you wake up and hop back into bed and wait for them to kick in…IF they kick in…Like we said above, hopefully you’re one of the lucky ones.
Another absolute essential! A lot of us wake up feeling as if we’ve been dried out overnight and that’s due to dehydration. Always have a bottle of water ready for when you wake up. It might not help the headache, but it will help you feel a little less dry. A 500ml bottle should do the trick for an hour or two.
Similar to the water, having an energy drink ready for the morning after can be a big help. Not only will you quench the thirst but you’ll also get a little caffeine kick. Chances are you’ll need as much energy as you can get after the long night, lads.
Mints/Chewing Gum – Survival Kit
Lads, hangover breath is a real thing and it’s no better than morning breath. Brushing your teeth in the morning will get rid of it and using mints or chewing gum as the day goes on will keep you smelling fresh and minty.
Bright lights are never fun when you’ve got a banging headache. Sunglasses will help make things a little easier. They’ll also help to hide the tired, baggy eyes. Gotta make it look like you’re fresh as a daisy, right? Well, sunglasses are the secret!
Ideally a massive fry up would solve all of your hangover problems. But if you don’t think you can stomach a greasy meal then we need to find an alternative. That alternative comes in the form of sugar. Having some jellies waiting in your bag can be a lifesaver when the hangover kicks in. Gotta love a bag of Haribo.
So lads, if you do wake up feeling a little worse for wear and need a quick pick-me-up then these items will be your saving grace! Hopefully you are one of the lucky ones and this Survival Kit becomes your go to every time you have a big night out in the future.
