The capital of Ireland is well known for its popularity amongst Stag Goers and the like. But, what are the advantages to living it up in the Big Smoke and are you better off going elsewhere? Here is our Dublin for a Stag Do – For and Against.

Advantages

Firstly, being the capital city of Ireland means there’s sure to be good night life. After all its double the population of Cork. So, theres no fear of a quiet bar or club on your Stag. And, if its clubs, restaurants and pubs you’re after, then you’re in the right place. You cant turn a corner in Dublin without bumping into another party friendly venue. There’s also plenty of live music. Any big sporting event or Concert in Ireland is nearly always held in Dublin. Venues such as the 3 Arena and Croke Park make for an excellent atmosphere. Definitely something to keep in mind if you’re planning to tie the Stag in with a big match or Performance.

Disadvantages

If it’s a budget Stag Do you’re planning on then Dublin wouldn’t be the first port of call. The capital is notorious for an expensive night out. Drink prices are well above the national average and accommodation is steep. So, by the time you have the hotel sorted and the transport organised it might not be worth all of the hassle involved. Especially when you have a perfectly good Stag location closer to home. It’s also not exactly the most original place to be taking the lads away on a Stag. If you’re thinking of doing something a bit more off kilter and authentic than maybe try looking at some locations along the West of Ireland.
