Stag Party Dos and Don’ts

Stag Party Dos and Don’ts

If you have been to a stag party then some of these might sound familiar to you. However, if you have not been to one then listen up because you might get some useful tips on what to do and more importantly what not to do! Here are some Stag Party Dos and Don’ts.

Make sure he gets a bed

Whatever you do make sure that the groom always has a bed. So if there’s too many bodies and not enough beds, do the right thing and give him yours!

Do not contact women

Rule number one of a stag party is no women! If you want to have the ultimate stag party with all of your mates then make sure that you keep the girls out of the equation for once!

Bring extra clothing for the groom

A necessity! He may end up naked and tied to a post wearing makeup and an inflatable ring around his waste or covered in paint like these guys! Anything is possible, so plan for all occasions just in case!

Offer to pay

If you are the best man then you should do your best to look after him. The groom already has enough to pay for with the wedding expenses so it would be a nice gesture. If you are part of the stag you are more than likely going to the wedding so you can show gratitude to him by helping him out with the stag expenses.

Make sure to include sleep

Stag parties can really take it out of you. Between the large amounts of alcohol consumed to the stag activities it can all get a bit much and start to take its tole. Make sure to get some rest so that you can enjoy each day without feeling exhausted with little or no energy.

Do activities

Even though your mind and body might be telling you not to, just do it! It’s a great way to get the guys out and bond and have the craic. You have your whole lives to go drinking but during the day it’s definitely nice to fit some activities into the schedule.

Refrain from having it the night before the wedding

C’mon you’ve known for ages that he was getting married so don’t leave it until the last minute to have the party. Plan well in advance and avoid the chance of him having one eyebrow for all of his wedding pictures! His fiance will thank you for it! It might also avoid the lads being late for the wedding the next day!

Don’t make it expensive

At stag parties there is always a range of ages so you need to be respectful of this. Some of the men at the party might even have kids so money may not be as easy to come by as it is for the single lads. So run the lavish ideas by everyone first to make sure the group is in agreement.

Don’t invite the wrong people

Always make sure that you have told the groom who is invited before you decide to invite his brother in law who he cannot stand!

Don’t take pictures

Everyone knows what a stag party entails so there really is no need for photographic evidence of any kind. Do you really want the fiancée to see this and ruin your mates life? I didn’t think so! So keep it between the group. If you can’t see it, it didn’t happen!

Do not lose the groom

Whatever you do make sure that you keep an eye on him at all times. It is your duty to make sure that he does not get lost.

And as always…What happens at the stag party stays at the stag party!
