Top 5 things to do in Rio

If you and the lads have decided at the spur of the moment to pack the bags and head to Rio for the Olympics and your stag party, (If I only I had the money you say to yourself), then here are our top 5 things to do in Rio.

You’ll already have a hectic schedule with the Olympics. But if you do manage to spare a few hours during your time there it is definitely worth checking out some of the things to do and see while you are in Rio de Janeiro. There’s so much to choose from with famous tourist attractions, bars, nightclubs, live music and street parties you’ll be spoiled for choice.

When you think of Rio De Janeiro you automatically think of beautiful girls and some stunning beaches to match. It definitely seems like a great place to go to with the lads. And with the Olympics just around the corner the atmosphere will be electric. Here is a list of our top 5 things to do in Rio de Janeiro.

The Sugar Loaf Mountain

This definitely isn’t an option for the lads that have a fear of heights. There is a cable car that goes to the top of the mountain. Once you get there you have a 360 degree view of the breathtaking Rio de Janeiro. That would be the stag party activity sorted!

The Botanical Gardens

This is a really nice way to clear any hangovers that might be looming from the night before. Take a trip to the botanical gardens. This area is spread across 340 acres and it has more than 6,000 indigenous and exotic species of flora. It’s definitely a nice way to relax if you have had a night out with the lads.

Copacabana Beach

This is a must if you are going to Rio. It is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches in the world. There will definitely be a lot of beautiful women there as well. There are also luxury hotels nearby that look out on the Copacabana beach. They even have scenic rooftop pools with sun chairs and umbrellas overlooking the beach.

The view to the left of the Copacabana beach is the Sugar Loaf mountain. Along the beach you will find some incredible sand sculptures and if that wasn’t enough you can also taste the coconut water straight from a coconut.

Christ the Redeemer

Apart from sighting the lovely ladies that are in Rio, there are other attractions as well that you should check out while you are there. The Christ the Redeemer statue stands with its arms outstretched and is known as one of the seven wonders of the world so it is a must see landmark when you’re visiting Rio.

Last but not least is Lapa. This festive neighbourhood ignites at night so it is the perfect location for any lads planning a trip to Rio. It’s night crawl doesn’t lack excitement or charm.

You are never far from a dance floor in Rio so it’s definitely an opportunity to get some of the beautiful women to show you how to do the Samba. Lapa is where you will find some of the most talented and skilled dancers take to the dance floor. You will definitely want to hit Rio Scenarium with the lads. This nightclub has three floors and a list of craft cocktails. The quality of the music is just as good as the dancing so even if you are the worst dancer out of the guys then this will still be a really good night for you.

With lots of drink, food and music it’s one of the best places to go for a night out, not to mention the beautiful girls that are going to be there doing the samba. It’s also a nice way to add some Rio tradition into the stag party night!
